Federal offender who was unlawfully at large arrested in Tillsonburg

A federal offender who went unlawfully at large on June 12 has been apprehended in Tillsonburg.

In a news release issued on Monday, the Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement squad said Sean Robertson was found and arrested by the OPP. He was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for an alleged breach of his statutory release.

Robertson is known to frequent Brantford, Simcoe, Hamilton and other southwestern Ontario communities.

Robertson, 37, is serving a five-year sentence for armed robbery (knife), robbery with violence, two counts of robbery, possession of a weapon, theft from police, two counts dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, two counts of theft under $5,000 and failure to comply with a court order. He is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for an alleged breach of his statutory release.

The Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement squad thanked the public and media for their assistance in the investigation.
