Warning, Fear the Walking Dead Season 7 spoilers: The 100th episode of Fear the Walking Dead is particularly painful for fans in several ways. It not only ends the story of nuclear-contaminated Texas, but also that of the main character Alicia Clark. After 7 seasons, Alycia Debnam-Carey is leaving the show – just one episode before Madison’s big return.
Fear the Walking Dead season 7 says farewell to Alicia Clarke
The surprise of the exit is great. Because the end of the episode Amina does not immediately suggest that we will never see Alicia Clark again. However, the actress confirmed her exit on Instagram and says goodbye with clear and emotional words:
I was 21 when we started this crazy journey, but now at 28, after 7 years and 100 episodes, I decided it was time for me to to move on as an actress and as a person. As is usual in our profession, I had to look for new challenges and opportunities and start a new chapter for myself.

Is Alicia Clark dead? Fear the Walking Dead leaves its final fate up to fan interpretation. The main character, who has been around since episode 1, was bitten by an undead in season 7. An arm amputation was not performed in time. As a result, Alicia staggered through the post-apocalypse for months with high fevers.
With the new episode, the series also bids farewell to Texas as a setting, which has been largely radioactive since the end of season 6. Except for Alicia embark all surviving characters on lifeboats and sail away at the end. Alicia stays behind as she is near death.

But then Alicia suddenly wakes up and apparently completely healed. Armed with new courage to face life, she runs away into an uncertain future. It might just be one Dream of dying Alicia? At least Fear the Walking Dead leaves the option open to have Alicia perform again at some point.
“No one’s gone until they’re really gone.” is the motto of the zombie series. After all, the apparently dead Madison (Kim Dickens) was able to survive the flaming inferno in season 4. Because already in the coming week the former main character will return after 4 years of absence there will be no emotional reunion with her daughter Alicia. And that really hurts.
