Jans is very happy with the acquisition of Lammers. “A Dutch striker who has proven in the Premier League that he can play football well and score a goal. He is eager, he is fit. He can become very important for us.” Lammers thinks so too, even though he only scored eight goals in three and a half seasons after leaving the Netherlands. “I scored less than I had hoped,” says the Brabander. “But I have played many good matches abroad and I feel I have become a better footballer.”
