Utrecht – Fireworks bombs, beer showers and jungle sounds. At FC Utrecht they are completely done with it. A group of ringleaders is ruining the atmosphere week after week. The club intervened today with a series of stadium bans. Stopping the ringleaders is a matter of patience, says general manager Thijs van Es. “History shows that there are always waves in this kind of behavior. I am convinced that at some point it will calm down again, but it will not be resolved anytime soon.” Working together and staying in touch is essential, says Van Es.
