Finnsson is 24 years old and played twelve times for the Icelandic national team. He has been playing for Lyngby since the winter break of 2023. Before that, he was part of the youth academy of Borrussia Dortmund for more than three years. He is also not unknown in the Netherlands: from 2016 to 2018 he played in the O19-1 of FC Groningen.
