Fazer’s classics make comeback

Fazers classics make comeback

Finnish candy giant Fazer has been around since 1891. They are mainly known for their chocolate and confectionery.

Christmas 2024, the company launched a chocolate box that came to challenge the classic paradise box from competitor Marabou.

Many customers stated in social media that they were positive about the chocolate box and several thought it would compete out Marabou.

“Fazer wins by not having operations in Russia, so I’m pretty forgiving whatever they put in the box.”

“Fazer is so much better! Choose this every day of the week. Or most preferably Panda Juhlapöydän confection but unfortunately it is not sold here in Sweden”.

“Given that Aladdin has been destroyed in recent years, I choose Fazer for Christmas.”

Should Fazer open chocolate factory in Sweden? This we know

It has been speculated as to whether Fazer will open a chocolate factory in Sweden or not, as the Finnish government decided in the spring of 2024 to raise VAT on candy from 14 percent to 25.5 percent.

– Fazer has previously communicated that we have the plan to invest in a new, modern chocolate factory. For various reasons, including the great uncertainty in the market and volatile cocoa prices as well as the planned Finnish VAT increase on confectionery, we have pushed on the decision itself and evaluate a very wide scale of various alternative solutions, said Joséphine Mickwitz, Communications Manager at the Fazer Group for News24 that a possible Fazer factory could be built in Sweden.

In the days it was clear that Fazer is taking back one of his old classics Fazer pineapple for a limited period.

Customers have repeatedly wished the candies to come back, according to The chain. The hard sunny yellow caramels come in a blue tin can.

The candy was introduced for the first time in Fazer’s confectionery range in 1908. In the spring, the candy will return to the range in Finland again and will be in the stores at the end of February in a bag of 150 grams, Fazer writes in a Press release.
