The Finnish candy giant Fazer has launched a new chocolate box, which may compete with Marabou’s classic Alladin and Paradise boxes.
The box is called Fazer “Classic” and was sold in stores during week 45. The chocolate box contains 32 classic pralines from Fazer’s regular assortment.
– Fazer Klassiker is the ultimate chocolate box for all the highlights of winter. Clearly already a classic that we think will be talked about and talked about in the Christmas cottages. We have collected several favorites and created a perfect mix of a safe choice and variety, says Robert EngmanVP Commercial Fazer Sweden in one press release.

The Fazer group had a turnover of SEK 13.9 billion
In 2023, the Fazer Group had a turnover of 1.2 billion euros, which corresponds to 13.9 billion Swedish kronor.
News24 has previously written about the Klassiker box. Sofia Ulverdocent in consumer science at Lund University, said TV4 News that Fazer is making a smart move.
– I thought it was fascinating and a bit daring. “Aladdin” and “Paradis” fulfill some kind of folk home nostalgic function in Swedish culture. It’s so obvious and well done I think, it’s clear they should do it. Why hasn’t anyone thought of this before?, she told TV4 Nyheterna.
She also believed that it was a good time to launch a new box of chocolates, as Marabou’s owner, Mondelez, has received a lot of criticism for its connection to Russia.

Customers praise Marabou’s competitor Fazer
On social media, reactions have been strong, with some believing that Fazer’s Klassiker box could out-compete the Marabou.
“Above all, one does not support Russian-friendly Mondelez”.
“Fazer wins by not having operations in Russia, so I’m pretty forgiving of whatever they put in the box.”
“Fazer is so much better! I choose this one every day of the week. Or preferably the Panda juhlamöydyn confectionery But unfortunately it is not sold here in Sweden”.
“Given that Aladdin has been destroyed in recent years, I choose Fazer for Christmas.”
“Since they’re taking away all the good from Aladdin, this feels like a good choice!”
“Is this true? Will this be around for Christmas? Praise the gods!”
“Given that the bundles of the pralines in the refrigerator box are inedible, it’s clearly smart.”

– We are happy about the product launch Fazer Klassiker and that our new Christmas cake has already received a lot of response and interest, she tells Nyheter24.
