FAVORITE VILLAGE OF THE FRENCH. When will the ranking of the 14 villages in mainland France and Overseas in the competition be revealed? The candidates in images and the broadcast date.

The show The French Favorite Village, which puts fourteen municipalities in competition (13 in mainland France, one overseas) for the twelfth season of the France 3 show, will be broadcast on Thursday July 11, 2024 at 9:10 p.m., in partnership with France Bleu. 14 French villages (13 in mainland France, 1 overseas).

The media exposure to which the candidate villages are subject has certain repercussions in terms of tourist numbers. “The real wealth of these territories is also the people who live and work there. We promote the territories by showing the tangible heritage, with the buildings, and the intangible heritage like the local specialties” underlined the presenter of the show Stéphane Bern at Paris Match. Each summer following the broadcast of the program, the increase in attendance is clear for each village, even for those which find themselves at the bottom of the ranking. The votes were open from February 19, 2024 at 10 a.m. to March 8, 2024 at 11:59 p.m., date of the election of the “favorite village of the French”. Viewers could vote for their favorite village among the 14 in the running, online or by telephone at 3245, by typing the village number (from 1 to 14). The vote will be made public during the 12th edition of the program presented by Stéphane Bern on France 3, in June 2024, even if the date has not yet been communicated.

The winner of the 2023 edition of the “French favorite village” was Esquelbecq in the Nord department in the Hauts-de-France region.
