Last Saturday evening, four people were found dead in a house in the municipality of Ål in Norway.
Now a father is suspected of having murdered his family and then committed suicide, Sørøst Police District announces.
“The investigation indicates that a woman and two adult children have been shot and that the perpetrator has subsequently taken his own life,” says prosecutor Ann Iren Svane Matthiassen in a press release.
“The case is therefore now being investigated as a murder and suicide.”
The dead have not yet been formally identified, but the police have no reason to believe that anyone other than the four registered at the address have been found dead, says Svane Matthiassen further.
