A father in his 40s was stuck on a steep rock face in Älvdalen municipality together with his 12-year-old daughter after being in an emergency situation. A major rescue effort was launched and the two people had to be picked up by a Norwegian helicopter.
– They have gone the longest and somehow ended up on the sidelines, and simply didn’t get out of there, says Lars Hedelin, who is press spokesperson at the police in the Bergslagen region.
The two people were stuck at a height of approximately 30 meters and called the police themselves and asked for help. According to the police, the persons were not injured in any way.
– They have been stuck for half a day and they were very hungry so they should go and eat now, concludes Hedelin.
