A 44-year-old man from Port Dover was killed in a snowmobile crash near Courtland on Saturday night.

Three people operating snow machines collided on a trail at about 10:50 pm One of the three snowmobile operators was airlifted by Ornge to a trauma hospital. The third person was not injured.

Norfolk OPP, Norfolk Paramedic Services and Norfolk County Fire Services attended the site of the collision on an Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Club trail between Byerlay Side Road and 1st Concession Road STR, Middleton Township. West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team assisted with the investigation.
Byerlay Side Road was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
