A young woman died in a moose accident on county road 555, south of Älvsbyn in Norrbotten on the night of Friday.

– She was alone in the car. The moose also died, says police spokesperson Marie Andersson.

So far this year, until July 25, roughly 1,800 accidents involving moose on Swedish roads have been reported to the police.
