The numbers are pretty staggering – the rear engine’s peak power output is 489 hp (360 kW) and the front engine throws an additional 258 hp (190 kW). Power sharing results in 660 hp (468 kW) and 1,015 Nm of torque, which goes up to 1,100 Nm when Launch Control is engaged. This explains the car’s gravity-defying 3.7-second sprint to 100 km/h.
All that power is nothing without a good chassis. According to BMW, the M-tuned suspension provides extremely sporty handling. It seems the company has struck the perfect balance between usability and comfort with no pain in the latter. Adaptive two-axle air suspension is standard on the i7 M70 and comes with electronically controlled shock absorbers.
