Director of a well-known, fast-fashioned Primark chain Paul Marchant has submitted a letter of resignation to the owner of the chain. The difference that comes into force immediately is the result of an anonymous woman’s accusation that Marchant, an Irish company, has been inappropriately behaving in a social situation.
What the inappropriate behavior was about has not been made public.
Primark’s ownership company British Associated British Food by Marchant has cooperated with independent lawyers in the investigation. Marchant has admitted that he has committed a “lack of discretion”. He also accepts the standards expected by the company that has been less than his behavior.
The CEO of the owner company says he is tremendously disappointed.
– Colleagues and others must be treated with respect. Our culture must be greater than one man, CEO George Weston.
Marchant has apologized to a woman who is subject to her behavior. The Primark owner company says he supports a woman who brought the leader’s behavior to the attention of it.
Marchant had been leading Primark since 2009 and has made it one of the most successful quick fashion chains on European shopping streets.
