Fast and Furious 10 stars Vin Diesel and Tyrese Gibson

What does a lunch break on the set of Fast & Furious 10 actually look like? Apparently not everyone rubs themselves in motor oil while fizzing a few Coronas. At least that’s what it suggests new video from the set of the action blockbuster on. In it, Vin Diesel and his longtime co-star Tyrese Gibson use the lull to make big promises.

Iconic Fast and Furious location hosts Vin Diesel and Tyrese Gibson’s lunch break

In the Instagram video, the actors of Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) and Roman Pearce (Tyrese Gibson) stand at one iconic filming location from the Fast and Furious series: the garage of Toretto’s house. Fans may know the wooden annex from an emotional scene in The Fast and the Furious (2001), when Dom tells his new acquaintance Brian (Paul Walker) about his father. In a flashback in Fast & Furious 9 we were also able to take a look inside.

In the video, Diesel first explains that the 7th week of shooting of Fast and Furious 10 has already begun. Then Tyrese Gibson takes the floor:

We’re in the garage right now. We could have had lunch in our trailer, but we wanted to go to the most legendary garage come, which is probably more famous than any other in the world. We wanted to eat and talk here and smell the brakes and the oil and the dust. And lean against this beauty.

What is meant is the car in the background, which, according to the video, is being built by Diesel’s son Vincent Sinclair (born in 2010). The video already raises several questions at half-time: Can a 12-year-old build a car? where is lunch And what was there to eat?

Big promises for Fast and Furious 10

Towards the end, Gibson promises big things for Fast X:

The fans over the last few years have wanted us to go back to the roots of what we know and love about the Fast series. and we heard you! And we do! What exactly is meant by this, however, is left to our interpretation. For a while now, the series has been criticized for its overblown blockbuster entertainment. Gone are not only the days of illegal car racing, but also the days of down-to-earth Fast & Furious Five action.

The Fast and the Furious

However, it is not certain whether we will actually see more of it in Fast and Furious 10. Tyrese Gibson could also be referring to the return to the story roots, the Toretto family history, which would explain the use of Dom’s Garage set. Rita Moreno’s involvement as Dom’s grandmother in Fast X would also fit that.
