CAN DO PERMANENT DAMAGE
Experts and hairdressers have warned of permanent damage caused by a tightly made bun, which can lead to alopecia, a type of hair breaker. The tension created by this hairstyle causes stress in the hair follicles and causes hair loss. Using an elastic band can cause breakage and thinning of the hair. It can create a troublesome situation especially in terms of the area where the tape is placed.
If you wear your hair in a tight bun, braid, or ponytail and use heat or chemicals while doing this, it can make the hair and scalp prone to breakage. All of these can cause a disease called traction alopecia.
HOW DOES ALOPE OF TRACTION Arise?
Traction alopecia may begin to appear as small bumps on the scalp. As it progresses, the main symptom becomes hair breakage and hair loss.
