Fashion and Accessories: exports to China grow by +15%

(Finance) – In the first half of 2023 theexport towards the China of theFashion and Accessories industry it grew by +14.9% compared to the first half of 2022, exceeding the value of 2 billion euros in the six months. In this context, the participation of Confindustria Moda (represented by Riccardo Braccialini, vice president of Assopellettieri) and 2 of the 7 associations of the Federation, AIP and UNIC, in the “Global Apparel Conference 2023 (GAC) – Together for a shared future”, the first official event for the sector wanted by the Chinese government after the post-pandemic period.

The summit – international meeting in several sessions dedicated to fashion, sustainability and innovation which will be held from 16 to 18 November in Humen – is organized by the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology and by local associations of reference for the sector. The aim is to strengthen synergies between countries, to study new strategies and new alliances that allow developments on the topic of eco-sustainability of the product and raw material.

In fact, the reports will focus on these topics AIP And UNIQUEwith the titles “Change – do something great“, with a focus on the fair as a tool for internationalization and exchange between companies that build the future, and “The sustainability of the leather supply chain”. The role and expertise of Italy are recognized as central to the global development of these issues, as the only country to have maintained the sector’s supply chain integrated from upstream to downstream: this will be the main theme of Riccardo Braccialini’s speech, foreseen in the initial plenary section and hosted among the international VIP keynote speeches.
