Farming Vaults of Zskera Keys in World of Warcraft can be exhausting. We tell you the quickest way.
One of the new features of patch 10.0.7 is the dungeons of Zskera. There are loads of treasures to loot and countless mysteries to unlock every week. But in order to get the maximum progress from the vaults, you need a lot of “Zskera Vault Keys”, which you have to farm beforehand. We will tell you which methods are best suited for this.
How many keys do you need? According to the current status, you need 28 to 30 keys per week. This can vary a little, because occasionally a gate can be opened without a key. If you have 30 or more keys at the beginning of a new WoW week (Wednesday), then you are on the safe side and should be able to open all chambers immediately.
Method 1: Rare mob farming
By far the most efficient method is to join a group and explore the various rare enemies on the Forbidden Island. Active rare mobs are clearly marked on the world map, so you shouldn’t have any trouble finding a new one quickly.
The rare mobs not only drop keys, but also large amounts of elemental abundance. You can exchange 2,000 at Daela in Morqut for a “Bag of Curiosities”, which also has a 30% chance of getting a key.
By the way, you can defeat the rare enemies more than once a day. Although they are no longer displayed on the map and are only ordinary elite opponents in the interface, they can still drop Zskera Vault Keys.
Method 2: Collecting Treasures
The second method is collecting small treasures. Because everywhere on the Forbidden Island there are different types of treasure chests. These can be actual chests, but also piles of bones or bird’s nests. Around 15% of these treasures contain a key from the Zskera Vault. Although the chance is lower than with the rare enemies, collecting treasures can be done solo without any problems.
But don’t worry, you don’t have to fly around with eagle eyes and pay attention to small details. Travel to Morqut Village and speak to Daela at the mission table. She sells the Reliquary Scroll of Perception for 2,000 Elemental Abundance. When used, all nearby treasures are shown on the minimap for 60 minutes.
All you have to do then is fly across the island, gliding from treasure to treasure and surely have collected 20 or more keys in the course of the hour.
Also pay attention to the “Forbidden Chest”, which spawns about every 30 minutes and is guarded by two to three elite opponents. Most of the time, all players rush there, making it easy to open.
Finally, it should be mentioned that all creatures on the Forbidden Island have a low chance of dropping a key – including common and elite opponents. However, the chance here is significantly smaller than with treasures.
Send keys to twinks
By the way, the keys of the Zskera Vault are bound to your account and not the individual character. This means that you can also just send the keys to an alternate character if your main character should already have enough. Alternatively, you can of course farm the keys in advance so that you always have enough in the coming weeks.
