WoW Dragonflight has completely revised the crafting system and for the best items you now need Primeval Chaos (“Primal Chaos”). MeinMMO reveals how you get the epic material.

Here you get Primeval Chaos: The best way to get Primeval Chaos is through Mythic Keystone dungeons (“Mythic+”). Keystone dungeons are harder variants of dungeons and have been available since Season 1 on December 14th.

Blizzard increased dungeon drop rates in a December 23 hotfix. We’ve observed that completing a dungeon gives you 1 Primeval Chaos per level – so a Mythic+10 dungeon gives you 10 Chaos.

Other possible sources are:

  • weekly quests at Sabellian and Wrathion
  • the weekly quest: “Support the Agreement”
  • specific world quests and the new world bosses that rotate each week
  • rare opponents on the dragon islands
  • Expedition Scout Packs and Moving Earth
  • one time for completing certain quests like killing Raszageth in the new raid

    • is there a limit no You can farm as much Primeval Chaos as you want at any time. The only limit is the time it takes you to complete eg mythical dungeons as these are the only permanent and reliable source.

    Primal Chaos is an important crafting material in Dragonflight’s new profession system. In the video we explain what has changed in crafting:

    What do I need Primeval Chaos for? With the material you can craft the best items in Dragonflight, such as a neck piece, which is currently “BiS” for most classes. You also need Primeval Chaos to create a (Concentrated) Primeval Infusion from the collected Primal Focus or Concentrated Primal Focus.

    The infusions are optional crafting materials that you can use to upgrade crafted items to an item level equivalent to mythic raids. You also need Primeval Chaos for the strong potions of alchemists.

    If you are keen on the manufactured items, you do not have to skill a profession yourself. It’s enough if other people can do it.

    With the new profession system, you can simply place an order and someone else will craft the items for you. All you have to do is take care of the materials and provide them. This also works with soul-bound items such as chaos.
