With tributes in Diablo 4 you increase your chances of getting certain loot in the lower city of Kurast. You can find out which tributes are available and where you can best farm them here on MeinMMO.

Kurast Undercity is a multi-stage time attack dungeon where you can level and loot. As soon as you start your run, a timer starts, which you extend by killing monsters and events. In the Undercity and throughout Sanctuary you will find tributes that will help you farm even better. The Undercity and the Tributes are part of the Vessel of Hatred expansion.

Why do I need tributes? Once you collect tributes, you can use them in the Kurast Undercity to increase your chances of getting certain loot. Higher quality tributes bring the best loot, but also significantly increase the challenge of the Undercity run.

The difficulty level at which you play also contributes to the quality of the loot. Blizzard has abolished the often criticized world stages in Diablo 4 and introduced torment stages:

Farm spots for tributes

Where can I find tributes? Basically you get the tributes anywhere in Sanctuary. You will find different types of tributes that increase your chances of getting certain loot. The best places to go are:

  • Tributes that increase the chance of getting runes: Pit
  • Tributes for Legendaries & Uniques: Whispering Tree Crates, World Bosses
  • Tributes for Boss Mats: Bosses on the Torment stages
  • Tributes for Obduzit: Nightmare Dungeons, Infernal Hordes

    • The tributes are collected in the dungeon key inventory tab. Since you only need them for the Lower City and there is a loot chest on site, you can also store them in your chest. After all, all the keys take up a lot of space in the inventory anyway.

    What tributes are there? There are magical, rare, legendary and unique tributes. You can only use tributes from the “rare” level on the torment levels, “magical” ones before that too. Depending on which tributes you use in the portal activator in the Undercity in Nahantu, the less start time you have. On top of that, healing potions drop less frequently. But in return you get better loot and higher chances of getting certain items.

    Examples of tributes:

  • Tribute of Mysticism (Magical): Increases the chance of getting runes
  • Tribute of Growth (Magical): Increases XP
  • Tribute of Refinement (Rare): Increases the chance of Obducity
  • Tribute of the Titans (Rare): Increases the chance of boss mats
  • Tribute of Harmony (Rare): Increases the chance of getting runes
  • Tribute of Ascension (Unique): Increases the chance of Uniques & Mythic Uniques

    • In order to use the high-quality tributes from the “rare” category onwards, you must be at a torment level. To do this you have to bring your player character to the maximum level of 60 and unlock the torment levels in the pit.
