Färjestad has had problems on the goalkeeper front for a while.
Now the club is ready to pick up a, to say the least, experienced gentleman and let him play the rest of the season.
According to Expressen’s information, 36-year-old Anders Lindbäck is in place in Karlstad on Tuesday.
He has played for clubs such as Timrå, Rögle and Brynäs at home in Sweden, took a World Cup bronze with Tre Kronor and belonged to five different clubs in the NHL. Anders Lindbäck Is an experienced and highly acted goalkeeper who may soon be ready for Färjestad in SHL.
Lindbäck got fired by Brynäs
Lindbäck is primarily associated with Brynäs, the club for which the Gävle son started playing hockey at a young age. He played in Brynäs as late as last year, when they were in Hockeyallsvenskan, but he was forced to leave in the middle of the season. In fact, he was fired from the club.
– I have had him both as a colleague and employees, but this decision is made based on what we consider best for the association. With this, the work is further intensified to ensure what our goalkeeper situation should look like for the remainder of the season, said the sports manager Johan Alcén to Brynäs website.
– The reason for the work exemption is a matter between the club and Anders, he continued.
