Fantasy fans could hardly believe their eyes. Highlander: There Can Only Be One will be rebooted with The Witcher actor Henry Cavill, as previously announced in 2021. Namely from John Wick creator Chad Stahelski, who according to his own statements simply Replace firearms with swords wants (via Collider). Now he commented on the status of the long-awaited Highlander remake.

Stahelski said to Collider:
I’m working on the details right now. We know what we want to do. Now it’s about creativity. We gotta get to the point where we say “Ok, that’s it. Let’s go.” We’re closer now than ever before.
Obviously, the remake concept still has to be worked out before further steps can be taken. The story of the new edition and the role of Cavill is accordingly not yet known.
When will we see the Highlander remake from the creator of John Wick?
The start date is therefore difficult to estimate. If the project is actually about to start, the film could early 2024 at the earliest come to the cinema.
