It will soon become clear whether James Cameron is still the undefeated blockbuster king. More than 10 years after the first part, Avatar 2: The Way of Water finally hits cinemas in mid-December. The director himself considers his sci-fi sequel to be the worst business idea in film history, what the financial risk regards.

Apparently the wait paid off though, like that Reaction from a valued fantasy director indicates. Guillermo del Toro has already seen Avatar 2 and shared his euphoric reaction.

The long wait combined with Cameron’s ambitious perfectionism seems to have paid off. The first trailers for Avatar 2 already indicate that the director with the sci-fi blockbuster technically reached a new level again Has. According to Guillermo del Toro, the Avatar sequel also provides the necessary emotions.

We will know more by then at the latest December 14th. Then Avatar 2: The Way of Water starts in our cinema. Guillermo del Toro also has a new film at the start. His Pinocchio animated film is coming to Netflix on December 9th.
