They take something you did, Batman or whatever, and culturally abuse it. You’re already a slave to Disney or Warner and they can do whatever they want. Now I’m fighting against it internally.

Speaking to The Independent, the director also criticized the use of AI copies of Disney characters to resemble his style: “I remember other cultures saying: Please don’t take a picture, it steals my soul.
