Fan favorite brings new series back after 3 years

It has been almost three years since Killing Eve came to an end with the fourth season, making numerous fans disappointed. Not only was the farewell to be mourned by the celebrated thriller series, the final episode also caused a sensation and turmoil through an unnecessary death.

Now we should immerse yourself in the Killing Eve universe because the series gets A separate prequel. However, instead of turning to Villanelle (Jodie Comer) or Eve (Sandra OH), another fan favorite should be in the center.

Prequel series for Killing Eve comes: Honey brings fan favorite Carolyn Martens back

As Deadline reports, the new series will be the title Honey Wear and turn around Carolyn Martens, which was embodied by Fiona Shaw in Killing Eve. The Prequel is supposed to tell the history of Martens – called Synopsis Marta – as a hidden MI6 agent in Berlin in 1982. While she is surrounded by enemies and threatens to be soaked, she has to take care of Friedrich Bauman, the spy head of the Stasi.

The series is to be created in cooperation between the BBC and the ZDF and has not yet been officially confirmed as Killing Eve-Prequel. However, Deadline’s sources are said to be reliable – the story also results with regard to the figure history of Carolyn Mertens Sinn. Behind the series is Emma Moran, who is responsible for the Disney+series Extraordinary.

Since this is a prequel that goes back far from Mertens, it cannot be assumed that Fiona Shaw returns in her role. However, CAMEOS cannot be excluded. A young Carolyn Mertens was portrayed in an episode of the series by Imogen Daines.

Killing EVE made his debut on BBC America in 2018 and became one of the most celebrated thriller series in recent years over four seasons. Developed by Fleabag-Mastermind Phoebe Waller-Bridge, other sizes such as Emerald Fennell also participated in the scripts. At the Moviepilot Community, Killing Eve has a rating of 7.6 points with over 600 reviews.

When does the Killing Eve-Prequel Honey come?

So far, no official start date has been announced for Honey. We expect a start not before 2026. Since the series is created in KO production with the ZDF, a German publication on the broadcaster is not excluded. The series should initially include six episodes.
