Your character is very important in role-playing games, and Bethesda knows that too and tells you right at the beginning of Starfield that, thanks to a feature, it doesn’t matter if you don’t like the way your character looks.
Which feature is it? As a Reddit user discovered, Starfield has a feature or facility called the “genetics facility” that you can visit later in the game to change your biometric customization, which is your character’s appearance.
The user shared a screenshot that shows that you are already receiving a message in the character editor that you can edit your appearance again at a later date.
Why is the feature so important? In a role-playing game, everything revolves around your character. He is the protagonist of the plot, appears in almost all video sequences and dialogues and accompanies you on your journey through the game world for several hours.
It is all the more important that the appearance of your character doesn’t bother you – after all, you have to endure his face throughout the game.
So if you want to get into the game quickly on Starfield release day and are concerned that you’re not 100% satisfied with your character, you can still jump in and tweak it later.
What do fans say? Under the post on Reddit, some players comment that they think the ability to change the character’s appearance later is quite good.
Some users also add that the feature is not new in Bethesda games. The option already existed in games like Skyrim and Fallout 4.
What was also present in previous Bethesda games are game bugs:
