The famous Swedish jazz singer Nannie pornes Has passed away, 85 years old, says Swedish Radio’s “Jazz Radio”.

The career took off
Career took off when Pornes, only 13 years old, won a talent hunt arranged by Expressen and soon became a frequently recurring guest at Jazzmecatat Nalen in Stockholm from the 1950s onwards.

Several collaborations over the years
Nannie Pores sang in the jazz group Jazz Club 57 and collaborated with names such as the saxophonist Bernt RosengrenThe Lars Gullin and Monica Zetterlund.
In his own name, Pols, among other things, published the records “I Thought About You”, 1971, and the Swedish -speaking record “Close -up” five years later.
Pornes also played revue with Beppe Wolgers and appeared with compositions and poet Sonja Åkesson poetry.
