Young rapper Goonew was shot dead in Maryland on March 18. Goonew, 24, whose real name is Markelle Morrow, has been in the spotlight since photos and videos of her unique memorial service went viral on social media on Sunday. The footage shows Goonew’s brace-fixed body and people having fun around him at a party on a stage in Washington.
Famous rapper 50 Cent commented on Twitter under a video showing Goonew’s body, “Damn! Now I know what this is”.
NIGHT CLUB CONFIRMED
While it was discussed whether the body in the footage was the corpse of the young rapper, or some kind of wax work or a model, nightclub Bliss made a statement confirming that it was Goonew’s body.
The nightclub used the following statements in a statement on social media:
“We offer our deepest condolences to Goonew’s family, friends and fans. Bliss contacted a local funeral home to rent our space for Goonew’s go-home celebration. Bliss was not notified of what was going to happen. A sincere apology to anyone who may have been upset or offended. Please hold on to your prayers for Goonew’s family and friends at this difficult time.”
The murderer of the rapper shot dead in Maryland has not been found by the police. Police are offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the murder suspect.
