It knew the drummer Roger Palm has died after a period of Alzheimer’s disease, the family confirms this on Sunday The evening paper.
“He was a warm and humble fellow who always stood up for friends and family. He will be greatly missed and he leaves a huge void behind him. We will all remember him with warm hearts,” the family wrote in a statement.
Played in the greatest hits
Roger Palm was a studio musician and is known, among other things, for having worked with Abba.
He worked with Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson during the 70s participated in some of Abbas’ most famous songs such as “Dancing queen”, “Mamma mia” and “Thank you for the music”, where he was responsible for the drums.
Palm also collaborated with Ted Gardestad and played drums on the hit song “Satellit”.
During his career, Palm played in the bands Gimmicks and Beatmakers, writes The evening paper.

“One of Sweden’s best drummers by far, Roger Palm, is no longer in the earthly life. I miss you Roger with your happy shouts in the studio when we created music with, among others, Ted Gärdestad”, writes Schaffer and continues
“You gave Ted’s “Satellit” a fantastic swinging accompaniment and on classics like ABBA’s “Mamma Mia” and “Dancing Queen” your drums sound unforgettable. I will always remember you,” he continues.
Roger Palm was 75 years old.
