A Wallaceburg family has made a contribution to the Downtown Wallaceburg BIA’s River of Lights campaign in memory of a loved one.
Cheryl Bilodeau donated $500 in memory of her late husband Steve. River of Lights is an effort to light up downtown Wallaceburg and the waterfront over the next five years during the holiday season.
Steve Bilodeau, who was born and raised in Wallaceburg, died last year at the age of 59, according to his obituary. He founded multiple businesses in Wallaceburg, which are being run by his and Cheryl’s children.
“This community always held a very special place in his heart, and he was always looking for ways to contribute and strengthen the town he loved so much,” a release from the BIA said.
