What is Twisted Metal all about? 20 years ago, a computer bug brought electricity and the Internet to a standstill worldwide. A post-apocalypse full of anarchy and violence was born. Only metropolises surrounded by walls still offer anything resembling security, while all criminals have been expelled. So that important resources can be transported between these communities, there are so-called milkmen who bravely make their way into the dangerous wasteland of the Divided States of America in souped-up carts.
One of them is John Doe (Anthony Mackie), who is supposed to travel from New San Francisco to New Chicago, over 2,000 miles away, on a special assignment. Together with the car thief Quiet (Stephanie Beatriz from Brooklyn Nine-Nine), John goes on a dystopian road trip that leads the duo to, among other things, cannibals, a murderous horror clown with comedy ambitions (voiced by Will Arnett) and a psychotic police officer ( Thomas Haden Church).
With a community rating of 7.4/10 on Moviepilot and an IMDB rating of 7.4 points, Twisted Metal can be counted as one of the better video game adaptations. In addition to over-the-top car action (with plenty of rocket launchers), the series is particularly notable for its Mix of weird humor and bloody brutality out of.
