In ambulance healthcare, it is common for municipalities and regions to buy training from each other. Västmanland has for a long time carried out further training for its staff that others have been able to purchase. The advent of the new competence center means that the ambulance service expands their course packages and trainings.
– The aim is to support employees’ skills development and ensure that they gain experience and knowledge that they take with them outside when they meet patients, says Henrik Lindlöf.
Why have you made an educational effort on sudden deadly violence?
– Shootings and stabbings are increasing more and more, it is good that we get to train even more on how to bandage the injuries, says Sanny Forsberg, ambulance paramedic.
