The top level of a tower previously housed at the Norfolk County Fairgrounds was involved in a mishap on Thursday while it was being transported to a property on Decou Road in Simcoe.
The structure, a former press booth, was on a trailer being hauled by a tractor.
During the trip, the load shifted and clipped a power pole at Evergreen Hill Road and Norfolk Street South, causing some damage, said police.
Norfolk OPP arrived at the scene and told the workers who were moving the structure to return it to the Simcoe fairgrounds because it had become a safety concern.
No charges have been laid but the incident is under investigation.
