As Variety claims to have learned from inside sources, the episodes of the series will cost between $12 and $15 million. That’s about the same budget as Star Wars flagship The Mandalorian, as Discussing Film notes. Disney must have big plans for the series.
In the 2010s, the fantasy adaptations Percy Jackson – Thieves of Olympus and Percy Jackson 2: The Spell of the Cyclops were released in cinemas. They didn’t flop, but they also didn’t show any great fan enthusiasm for the series were therefore no longer continued.
