Three women who underwent breast surgery at Karolinska Hospital in Stockholm have suffered serious bacterial infections.
The cause is suspected to be a net that is sewn on during the operation. The cases have now been reported to the Swedish Medicines Agency.
According to the newspaper Expressen, in at least one of the cases, it has led to the affected woman becoming completely breastless and will be forced to undergo new advanced operations.
