The last weekend in January, many people count and report how many birds there are at bird feeders and bird tables.
Due to this national bird count “Winter birds on the knot”, Naturum Tåkern opened for the season. On the beach of the Fågelsjön between Väderstad and Omberg, guidance was offered among the winter birds in forests and reeds, ring marking and manufacture of own bird seed muffins.
Birdlife Sweden implements the bill and believes that everyone can participate and easily report which birds and how many of the respective species you see at the same time at the bird feeding. Thanks to all the reports, we get a good picture of the birds that spend the winter with us.
