Who would have thought that the Fack ju Göhte series with its first offshoot presents a fantasy film? Probably no one. But this is exactly the timeline we find ourselves in. With Chantal in Fairytale Land, the original school comedy ventures into the Brothers Grimm’s métier and delivers a strange adventure.

After the teaser trailer for Chantal in Fairytale Land gave us a first glimpse of the spin-off, there is now a long trailer that comes with it vulgar innuendos on fairytale classics. Below you can watch the almost three and a half minute long video with Jella Haase as Chantal Ackermann.

The first images still seem familiar. Even Elyas M’Barek appears as Zeki Müller and surprises Chantal, who no longer expected that her “old” teacher was still alive. But it has to deal with the real world intrepid influencer Don’t keep yourself busy for long anyway – fairytale land is calling!

Through a enchanted mirror Chantal stumbles into a fantasy world with her best friend Zenyep (Gizem Emre), as if she had gotten lost in the live-action adaptation of a Disney fairy tale. Get ready for a magical adventure full of cheeky sayings and insults. Because Chantal doesn’t mince her words.

Despite the numerous fantasy elements, there is something sparkling here DNA of the Fack ju Göhte series in every second of the trailer for Chantal in Wonderland. We also get to see a few of the guest stars from the spin-off. In addition to Elyas M’Barek, these include Nora Tschirner, Frederick Lau and Alexandra Maria Lara.

When does Chantal in Fairytale Land start in the cinema?

It won’t be long until we can return to the Fack ju Göhte universe. At the March 28, 2024 Chantal in Fairytale Land opens in German cinemas. We are excited to see whether the spin-off can continue the gigantic success of its predecessors. The Fack ju Göhte trilogy attracted over 20 million viewers to the cinema.
