The Santiago Bernabéu stadium, Kylian Mbappé and the most successful club in the history of the Champions League, Real Madrid. It’s hard to dream of anything better for El Bilal Touré, who was born in Adjamé in Ivory Coast to Malian parents. But by signing with Stuttgart, he wanted to take a new step in an already rich career.
At almost 23 years old, the young Malian is discovering his fourth championship after having worn the jersey of Reims in Ligue 1, Almeria in Spain and Atalanta Bergamo in Italy.
But the young Eagle is coming off a mixed last season. Injured in the hamstrings, Touré only played 17 games with the Lombard club. He still had time to score in the semi-finals against Marseille in the Europa League before playing a few minutes of the victorious final against Bayer Leverkusen (3-0).
With a European trophy already under his belt, he was loaned to Stuttgart this summer with a mandatory purchase option next year.
Winner of the Under-20 AFCON with the Aiglons in 2019, El Bilal Touré hopes to be spared from injuries this season. For the moment, he is confined to a substitute role in Stuttgart, but he intends to establish himself in the Bundesliga and replace the Guinean Serhou Guirassy in the hearts of the German club’s supporters. A good performance against Real Madrid could be the start of the seduction operation.
