Facebook launches an alternative to Twitter, but a YouTuber makes Mark Zuckerberg look old on his own site

With Threads, Facebook has published its own alternative to Twitter. Since then, the number of users has been increasing steadily. A well-known YouTuber has now reached millions of followers, even overtaking Facebook boss Mark Zuckerberg.

On July 5, 2023, Meta, the company behind Facebook, released Threads: This is supposed to be an alternative to Twitter. Since then, the number of users has been increasing steadily and thousands of people have installed the new Threads app.

Well-known YouTuber Jimmy “MrBeast” Donaldson has now overtaken meta-CEO Mark Zuckerberg by hitting the first 1 million followers.

Threads has 15 million users in just a few hours

As soon as Threads started, MrBeast and Mark Zuckerberg were in a neck-and-neck race for a million followers on the new app.

After just 12 hours, Threads had over 15 million users. Not much later came the first accounts that boasted 1 million followers on the platform.

In the meantime, both Mark Zuckerberg and MrBeast have cracked the million mark. Still, MrBeast was the first person to break 1 million followers. This is reported by the Dexerto website.

Above all, this shows the reach MrBeast has in the online world. With 165 million subscribers, he is one of the largest YouTubers in the world, so it is probably not surprising that he can collect more followers in a very short time than the head of Facebook/Meta.

World’s Greatest YouTuber Beats Mark Zuckerberg on Threads

MrBeast is currently considered the biggest YouTuber. As of November 2022, he is officially the most-subscribed individual on YouTube. He replaced the then king of Twitch, PewDiePie.

His content is a mix of charitable causes and expensive stunts, but his actions are not entirely without controversy. He is regularly accused of doing charitable campaigns only for views and of not even questioning why millions of people have to suffer from an illness:
