Facebook keeps absolutely all searches made since opening an account. Although this history is only visible to the account holder, some members may wish to maintain their confidentiality by erasing this data. Here’s how to do it.

Whenever you type a person’s name or a keyword into the search engine of Facebook, this one keeps them in a history. It is possible toclear history in a few clicks.
To clear your Facebook search history
- On the home page of your Facebook account, click on the small arrow pointing downwards which is located in the upper right part of the top of the page banner. In the menu that opens, click Personal history.
- Then, in the left field of the page, click on the link More which is under the link Comments then on the option To research. You will then see the history of searches classified by month since the creation of the account.
- To delete this data, click on the button Clear searches. A warning message appears, confirm the action by pressing again Clear searches.
