Among the major Xbox licenses, we obviously find Fable, the famous role-playing game from Playground Games. After more than ten years of absence, the license is back with its famous Fable 4.
The summer video game season has gotten off to a good start in recent days with the start of the Summer Game Fest 2023. Among the many conferences broadcast as part of Geoff Keighley’s event, one was particularly awaited: The Xbox & Bethesda Showcase 2023. Indeed, the video game juggernaut had to reassure fans of the Xbox universe, after two completely failed exclusive releases (Redfall and Darktide), and ensure its relevance in a market dominated by Sony and its Playstation 5. Gold , the green giant has pulled a major asset out of its boot in the form of Fable 4. The RPG is back with a new episode after more than ten years of absence, a reboot developed this time by Playground Games to which the we owe the excellent Forza Horizon.
As for a possible release date for Fable, still no mention has been made by Xbox or Playground Games, but we won’t have to wait for the game before 2024. Obviously, the game resumes its quirky tone and its zany characters, like its trailer which made us discover a new heroine of rather modest size. We can also see some pretty impressive graphics captured directly on Xbox Series X. The console will be the exclusive home ground for this new release, which is also expected on PC. Regarding the exact gameplay of this highly anticipated episode, we will still have to wait before having more information from Playground Games, especially at the end of the summer with Gamescom 2023.
