F2i SGR acquires HISI to continue growing in the hospital

(Tiper Stock Exchange) – F2i SGRthe largest independent Italian infrastructure fund manager, has signed an agreement to acquire HISI – Investment Holding in Healthcare and Infrastructureinvestment platform in the sector of public-private partnership in the hospital sector. HISI holds the concessions for the management of the non-healthcare services of the New Hospital of Legnano, in Lombardy, and of the Hospital of Alba-Bra, in Piedmont. The sellers are related to the French infrastructure fund Ardian and the Dutch pension fund APG.

F2i SGR, which has assets under management of approximately 7 billion euro, will carry out the acquisition on behalf of the fund called “Ania F2i” which will thus make its fifth investment, after those in the sectors of rail freight transport, airports, ports and gas storage.

The operation is a further commitment by the SGR in the public-private partnership (PPP) sector in the health sector, after the investment in Altheaactive in the management of biomedical technologies in public and private hospitals.

“By entering the infrastructure and hospital services sector, F2i intends to contribute to the modernization of the country and to people’s health – commented theCEO Renato Ravanelli – The PNRR has allocated approximately 4 billion euros for the construction of new health facilities and for modernization of existing ones. The public-private partnership represents the privileged and most efficient form for the implementation of these investments, which are fundamental for our country”.
