The statement made by beIN on this subject was as follows: “beIN MEDIA GROUP has recently further expanded its Formula 1 agreement covering Turkey (Digiturk) and also 24 countries in the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region. beIN MEDIA GROUP has also acquired the broadcast rights to the all-female F1 ACADEMY, which develops and prepares young drivers to advance to the highest levels. A total of seven races will be held on three continents this season in F1 ACADEMY. This agreement will be at the heart of beINSPIRED, a global beIN initiative launched in 2019 that supports underrepresented sports and athletes, with a particular focus on women in sports. The season will open in Saudi Arabia on March 7, followed by Miami, Spain, Netherlands, Singapore, Qatar and finally Abu Dhabi from December 6-8. All races will be broadcast on beIN’s flagship beIN SPORTS channels and OTT platform TOD. It will create a new fan base for women’s sports in MENA and Turkey.
