Netflix will soon drop the hit series Downton Abbey completely
Fans don’t have much time left for another marathon through the adventures of the Crawley country gentry. Already on August 14, 2022, the streamer will remove the series from its offer. There are 52 episodes in total.
An official reason for throwing out the successful series is not known. Probably is simple the license agreement with Netflix expired. All episodes of the 2021 series had landed there.
It is not clear what the future of the Downton Abbey universe will be like. About one is conceivable Sequel to the latest film Downton Abbey II: A New Era, which recently became a financial hit at the box office (via Box Office Mojo).
