Extremely controversial classic that shocks forever with an unforgettably hard

Anyone who has seen the political and social drama American History X will almost certainly remember this one scene. It is so horrifying and inhuman that it could hardly be more unpleasant. But the film has more to offer, even if it was very controversial. You can see it on TV today.

That’s what American History X with Edward Norton is about, today on TV

American History X by Tony Kaye revolves around the two brothers Danny (Edward Furlong) and Derek (Edward Norton). The younger Danny adores his big brother, who was sent to prison after two black people killed in a cruel manner When Derek comes out of prison, he has changed.

From the former spiritual leader of a neo-Nazi gang, he has become a reformed family man. It’s just a shame that his little brother has not yet made this change and is still following the teachings of old Derek. Danny’s school principal and his big brother try to dissuade him from his racist ideas.

The controversial American History X is remembered above all for this one scene

Admittedly, we get one of the best performances Edward Norton has ever deliveredEdward Furlong also does a very good job. But what remains in the memory is the terribly cruel scene in which Derek from the past kills the two black car thieves. The sound of the teeth on the curb is a lasting impression.

But American History X is not only controversial because it is so intense and brutal. The film may also be hindered by its own aestheticswhich perhaps presents all the violence and atrocities as well as the intelligent demeanor of the Nazi leader in a way that is too cool and appealing. Derek’s purification in prison also does not seem particularly convincing to some viewers. The ending, in turn, leaves many questions unanswered.
