Extremely brutal and celebrated revenge action will soon appear in

Sisu – Revenge is sweet is stylistically reminiscent of a mixture of Inglourious Basterds, John Wick, Rambo and Play me the song of death. The brutal and melancholic flick should not only please fans of Tarantino slaughter and one-man armies, as our review of the action film shows, which was only released in cinemas in Germany in May.

On July 27, 2023 instead of originally in November, Sisu will now be released uncut with an FSK 18 seal on disc for home cinema and you can now order it from Amazon on Blu-ray * or on DVD *. Alternatively, the film can also be purchased as a stream * from Amazon Prime Video.

That’s what Sisu is about – revenge is sweet

Jalmari Helander’s 91-minute 2022 action-packed thriller is set in Finland in 1944, where the Red Army is defeating the Nazis and their allies. Miner Aatami Korpi (Jorma Tommila) has turned his back on war and, after years of searching, finds a vein of gold in Lapland.

Then he meets a company of German soldiers who are retreating and want to take the gold from him. However, the Nazis and their brutal SS-Obersturmfuhrer (Aksel Hennie) did not reckon with the survival skills and fighting skills of the old man, who will do anything to get his treasure back.

Sisu comes up with lots of splatter action and dirty western aesthetics, which, in addition to its revenge story and the melancholic presentation, give the film a few pinches of humor at Metacritic good average rating of 70 points
introduced in the trade press.

For fans of Tarantino, John Wick and Co., the strip should always be worth a look. In addition to the film, there is also a making-of and a featurette about the special effects as bonus material on the Blu-ray and DVD.
