The International Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative, or EITI, is meeting for its global conference in Dakar starting this Tuesday. Organized every three years, this is its 9th edition and the first time it has been held in Africa. And this is no coincidence since Senegal will start exploiting its oil and gas from the end of this year.
