Extraction shooter with crazy humor lets you rob bigwigs, announces beta in September

The upcoming extraction shooter Hyenas invites you to a beta test on Steam. We’ll show you how to participate.

What game is it? Hyenas is an extraction shooter from Creative Assembly, which is typically based on games like Escape from Tarkov, but relies on a wacky humor and a colorful graphic style. This is already evident in early trailers.

In addition to the extraction mechanism, with which you have to escape from the area at the end of a round, there are mainly 3v3 fights against other players and against various NPCs.

In addition, heroic mechanics like those in Overwatch and battles in zero gravity are added to the shooter’s repertoire.

Hyenas is slated for release on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, as well as Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

Beta takes place exclusively on Steam

What is Hyenas about? In Hyenas, the earth no longer exists and humans colonize space. The rich and wealthy live on Mars while the rest of humanity dwells in orbit.

The eponymous Hyenas are a group of thieves in this alternate reality, which also includes the players. They target the treasures of the rich Martians and make them their own.

The target of your thieves’ sprees are special pop culture artifacts, such as a Sonic figure and a Rubik’s Cube (Magic Cube).
