It seemed like such a good idea: in order to combat light pollution and save energy, the municipality of Utrecht has been extinguishing all decorative lighting at bridges, advertising objects, windmills, water towers, works of art, churches and the town hall since the autumn. However, it now appears that its effect is only limited. The municipality of Utrecht is therefore considering switching the lighting back on.
