The police found a quantity of explosives in connection with a house search south of Stockholm on Wednesday evening.

The national bomb protection took part in the operation, which was carried out by the police due to a case connected to Uppsala.

“In connection with the house search, the police chose to cordon off the area and evacuate nearby properties. These restrictions have now been lifted and residents have been able to return,” the police write on their website shortly after midnight.

The explosives have been seized and a report of preparation for gross public destruction and violation of the Act on Flammable and Explosive Goods has been drawn up.
